Jona Maukonen joined the firm's litigation practice group after serving as a judicial law clerk for Justice Rives Kistler on the Oregon Supreme Court.
Jona was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2004, and is also admitted to the Oregon District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of Oregon Women Lawyers and the Multnomah Bar Association.
Jona received her JD from the University of Oregon School of Law. She graduated Order of the Coif, a national honorary scholastic society recognizing law students who have attained a high grade of scholarship. She was also a member of the University of Oregon Law Review. During law school, Jona served as Director of the Women's Law Forum, as a member of the Executive Committee of the Loan Repayment Assistance Program, and she worked as a law clerk with the Trial Division of the Oregon Department of Justice. Also during law school, Jona was a fellow for the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics. Following law school she served on the Center's board and is still actively involved with the Center. Jona received a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Oregon State University, and she minored in public policy and economics. She was a student-athlete, playing soccer for Oregon State University.
