David Denecke is co-chair of the Business Practice. He has an extensive background in handling domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, financial and real estate transactions, including intellectual property issues.
David spent several years as the Vice-President and Deputy General Counsel of Amfac, Inc., a $2.5 billion NYSE company, where his representation focused on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, intellectual property and the management of nationwide litigation for both parent and subsidiary companies.

David has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1978 and is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Multnomah Bar Association. He has received an AV® rating by the Martindale-Hubbell National Law Directory. David is active in several professional organizations, including the American Judicature Society, the Campaign for Equal Justice, the City Club of Portland and the Southern Willamette Research Corridor, among others.
Education
David received his JD from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1978. He also holds a BA degree from the University of Oregon.
