Ross M. Williamson practice focuses on serving the firm's local government clients. Ross guides local governments through all aspects of litigation before state and federal courts. Ross also represents the firm's clients in administrative hearings including proceedings before the state Land Use Board of Appeals. Outside the context of litigation, Ross advises local governments on many facets of municipal law, including public contracting and land use.

Memberships/Affiliations

Ross is a member of the Oregon State Bar and the Washington State Bar, and is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Oregon and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Lane County Bar Association, the Oregon City Attorneys Association and the Roland K. Rodman American Inn of Court. Ross is currently serving as Chair Elect of the Oregon State Bar New Lawyers Division and as a member of the Oregon State Bar Leadership College Advisory Board.

Education

Ross graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2001. While in law school, Ross served as an Articles Editor for the Oregon Law Review and worked as a research assistant. Prior to law school, Ross worked for the Washington State Supreme Court in court administration. He has a BA in political science and economics from Western Washington University.
