Nicole Commissiong focuses on litigation, insurance defense and public body tort defense. She has worked with both large and small companies, as well as individuals, to resolve issues concerning bodily injury, asbestos litigation and products liability. Nicole is fluent in French.

Memberships/Affiliations

Nicole was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2002 and the U.S. District Court, District of Oregon in 2003. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel and the Lane County Bar Association.

Education

Nicole earned her JD from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2001. While studying for her law degree, she was assistant to the Faculty Athletic Representative, working on issues of compliance with NCAA regulations for fellow student athletes. She also served on the NCAA Track & Field Championships organizing committee in 2001, when it was held at the University of Oregon. Nicole was a double medalist in the 200- and 400-meter events at the 1996 Canadian Olympic Track & Field Trials. She is currently training to compete in the 800-meter event for the 2008 Olympics.
