Dave Frohnmayer, former University of Oregon President (1994-2009), joined Harrang Long Gary Rudnick P.C. as “of counsel” on September 15, 2009.  At Harrang Long, Frohnmayer reunites with several colleagues from his three terms (1981-1991) as Oregon Attorney General.  His prior public service also includes three terms in the Oregon House of Representatives, legal adviser to the UO president and dean of the UO law school.  Frohnmayer’s practice will include select engagements in legal matters, public policy, leadership, organizational development and strategic consultation.  As attorney general, he argued and won six of seven cases before the United States Supreme Court, the most cases and best record of any contemporary state attorney general.

Memberships/Affiliations

Dave and his wife Lynn are founders of the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, Inc. He is a founding director of the National Marrow Donor Program and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  Dave also serves as Umpqua Bank Director.

Frohnmayer was designated UO President Emeritus by the Oregon State Board of Higher Education in July 2009 and will be teaching on leadership in the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon during the winter and spring terms.
