Andrea Coit specializes in litigation at the trial court level and before state and federal administrative agencies. Andrea's practice focuses on the defense of public and private entities and individuals in the areas of tort claims, civil rights, professional negligence, commercial transactions, and disciplinary matters. Andrea is also active in defending public entities in Measure 37 litigation in both the trial and appellate courts.

Memberships/Affiliations

Andrea is licensed in Oregon and Washington. She is a member of both the Oregon and Washington State Bars. Andrea is an elected member of the OSB House of Delegates, representing the lawyers of Oregon on policy issues on a county, state bar section and outside the state basis. She is a member of the Federal District Court of Oregon, the American Bar Association, the Multnomah County Bar Association, the Lane County Bar Association, and the Oregon Women Lawyers Association. Andrea is also a member of the pro bono section of the Lane County Bar and the Roland K. Rodman American Inn of Court.

Education

Andrea earned her JD, Order of the Coif, from Louisiana State University, Paul H. Hebert School of Law in 1999 where she served as the presiding member of the moot court and appellate advocacy board. She also received a BA in Business Management, cum laude, from S.E. Louisiana State University in 1995.
